Utility Crew Operator - Bore Crew
The Utility Crew Operator plays a key role in supporting our bore crew and field operations. This position is primarily responsible for operating an excavator to assist with horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and boring operations, including digging entry and exit pits, potholing, and backfilling. The Utility Crew Operator will also run other equipment as needed and step in on the labor side to keep jobs moving efficiently and safely.
Dump Truck Driver (Full-Time)
At VTF Excavation, out Dump Truck Driver's transport, load, and unload materials such as dirt, aggregate, and debris to and from job sites throughout Northwest and Central Ohio and Northeast Indiana. They perform daily vehicle inspections and coordinating with field crews. Applicants must hold a valid CDL, have a clean driving record, and be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Dump Truck Driver (Part-Time)
At VTF Excavation, our part-time Dump Truck Drivers transport, load, and unload materials such as dirt, aggregate, and debris to and from job sites throughout Northwest and Central Ohio and Northeast Indiana. They perform daily vehicle inspections and coordinate with field crews and are home every night. Applicants must hold a valid CDL, have a clean driving record, and be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. This is not just a seasonal position, it is a year round.
Utility/Pipe Laborer
VTF Excavation is seeking motivated and dependable Utility/Pipe Layers to join our growing team. The Utility / Pipe Layer is responsible for installing underground utility systems, including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and waterlines. This role plays a key part in keeping projects moving safely and on schedule.
Experienced Equipment Operator
Experienced operators for our mass excavation crews will be responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner such as dozers, excavators, haul trucks, tractors with pull type pan, and other heavy highway equipment. They will be responsible for performing daily routine maintenance on equipment. Must be able to work as a team and perform work in rhythm with others. Responsibilities may include performing general labor duties when not operating a piece of equipment.

In-House CDL Training
CDLs are required for most of our staff, with a few exceptions. We offer the unique opportunity for employees to receive training and earn their CDL while working with us, helping to save on the costs of getting the license.
